🚗 FLIPRADAR
AI-powered car deal analyzer
Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 24, 2026
FlipRadar collects the minimum data needed to operate the service. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
What FlipRadar does
FlipRadar is a browser extension that reads car listing information from supported marketplace pages (Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and OfferUp) and sends it to our backend service for AI-powered deal analysis. The analysis is displayed directly in your browser.
Data we collect
To provide the service, FlipRadar collects and processes the following data:
- Email address — collected when you subscribe through our Stripe checkout. Used to send your access token and for billing communications.
- Access token — a random string we generate for you. Used to authenticate your requests to our backend. Stored locally in your browser.
- ZIP code — optionally provided by you to improve market pricing accuracy. Stored locally in your browser and sent with each analysis request so our AI can price vehicles in your local market.
- Listing text and URL — when you click "Score This Deal," the visible listing content and page URL are sent to our backend for analysis.
- Usage logs — we log basic usage metadata (timestamps, token ID, platform) to monitor service health and enforce rate limits. We do not log listing content or your ZIP code in these logs.
How data flows
When you use FlipRadar:
- You click "Score This Deal" on a car listing page.
- The extension sends the listing text, URL, platform name, your ZIP code, and your access token to our backend at
web-production-70e5.up.railway.app.
- Our backend forwards the listing content to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis.
- Anthropic returns the analysis; our backend returns it to your browser; the panel displays the result.
- We do not store the listing content or the analysis on our servers.
Third-party services
FlipRadar relies on the following third parties to operate:
We also link out to Kelley Blue Book, Carfax, and Google Maps when you click those buttons in the analysis panel. Clicking a link opens that site in a new tab; no data is sent automatically.
Data storage and retention
- Your email and access token are stored in our PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway for as long as your subscription is active.
- Your access token and ZIP code are stored locally in your browser via
chrome.storage.sync.
- Listing content and analysis are processed in memory and not stored in our database.
- If you cancel your subscription, your account record and access token are revoked. You can request full deletion of your email from our database at any time (see Contact below).
Permissions
FlipRadar requests the following browser permissions:
- storage — to save your access token and ZIP code locally in your browser.
- host permissions for supported marketplaces (Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, OfferUp) — to inject the scoring button and read listing content on those pages.
- host permission for our backend (web-production-70e5.up.railway.app) — so the extension can send analysis requests.
FlipRadar does not request access to your browsing history, bookmarks, downloads, or any other browser data.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your data to anyone.
- We do not use your data for advertising or retargeting.
- We do not track which listings you view outside of the "Score This Deal" action.
- We do not share your email with third parties beyond the service providers listed above.
Children's privacy
FlipRadar is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of FlipRadar after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
